Senior Manufacturing Engineer - 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Act as a liaison between the Engineering and Manufacturing departments
  • Direct the assembly of composite prototype vehicles using jigs and fixtures
  • Create assembly work instructions suitable for low-volume, serial production
  • Provide design for manufacturing and cost reduction input for both vehicle parts and jigs & fixtures
  • Review and approve metallic and composite assembly and Installation shop work orders
  • Anticipate the need for, and manage the procurement of, special tools required for the prototype vehicle builds

Required Skills and Experience

  • Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or similar discipline with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience authoring, modifying and auditing procedures and assembly instructions
  • Working knowledge of GD&T concepts per ASME Y14.5 1994 or later
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • A hands-on problem solver with mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Outstanding organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
