This is a contractor position in the Material Science group within Pharma Technical Innovation . PTIR is a multidisciplinary group whose mission is to control raw material variability through fundamental scientific understanding of our materials and creation/adoption of new tools. This position will include interactions across the Network in the areas of material sciences, data analytics and manufacturing process understanding. The core team is composed of Scientists and Engineers in a highly dynamic environment with interactions across a variety of projects (clinical & commercial) and core functions (development, manufacturing, quality, & procurement).
The ideal candidate should have strong engineering principles and a great motivation to work with new tools, and deliver solutions using technical knowledge and data analysis. The candidate should have a passion for curiosity, excitement to explore and learn new fields, and the drive to be a champion in providing manufacturing and engineering solutions. Other skills include strong problem solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams. The candidate should be highly motivated and have good interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills. Candidates with full working knowledge and experience in materials science / raw materials are highly preferred, but not required.
BS/MS in chemical, biochemical, bioengineering, material sciences, mechanical engineering or related fields, including life sciences. Projects will be assigned based on the level of experience, thus entry level and candidates with advanced studies will be considered.
