The engineer will be responsible for performing process engineering research, development and evaluation of in support of the company’s wafer-level and chip-scale semiconductor device platform. This position reports to a Project Leader or Director of Device Engineering or Director of Process Engineering.
? Review process techniques and methods applied in manufacturing, fabrication and evaluation of wafer-level devices, getting involved at any stage from pilot plant to full-scale foundry manufacturing.
? Review, evaluate and improve process flow following industry standard methods
? Support device engineering team in planning and executing test and characterization of devices on chip scale and wafer scale, and conducting necessary data acquisition and analysis
? Present data to managers and executives, and manufacturing fab partner
? BS + 7 years, MS + 3 years, or Ph.D. in materials science or related discipline
? Extensive experience in working with standard deposition, etching, lithography and other related processes
? Knowledge of thin films, semiconductor physics and devices
? Automation and programming skills (e.g. LabView, MatLab)
? Data presentation skills
? Experience working with start-up companies is a plus
