Provide technical leadership in photolithography, thin films, etch (dry/wet), metrology and Parylene process modules. Develop new processes and equipment's. Support manufacturing with existing equipment's and processes as needed.

•Install, qualify and sustain automated inline defect inspection tools and review stations to expand capability for inline defect detection. Perform engineering analysis, troubleshooting/resolving issues daily in a factory environment, daily tool health monitoring, automating routine tasks, improving BKMs (best known methods) and recipe setup for new & old designs.

•Develop capital equipment requirements, create specifications for new equipment, evaluate vendors/suppliers, make procurement recommendations and manage equipment install and qualification processes.

•Develop continuous improvement plans for existing processes and support equipment and process road-maps to meet company strategic plan.

•Define SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) metrics for all modules and work with manufacturing staff (engineering and technicians) to implement and track.

•Work closely with manufacturing staff to ensure documentation of process instructions and implement process control plans and procedures in manufacturing.

•Support manufacturing engineering and operations management to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for operations staff.



•BS in engineering, physics or materials science, MS or PhD preferred.

•7+ years in MEMs (working in a clean room) with direct experience developing and/or supporting manufacturing processes at development or production scale. Experience as both fab process engineer and fab integration engineer a plus.

•Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate specialized technical information to both subject and non-subject matter experts.

•Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to meet company and departmental objectives.

•Results and documentation-oriented work philosophy, good common sense, high attention to detail and desire to grow.

•Skilled in root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools and approaches (e.g., FMEA, fishbone diagrams, Five Why's, etc.).

•Skilled in Design of Experiment (DOE) and execution using designed test vehicles and/or production lots.

•Hands on experience using process data, interpretation and statistics tools such as JMP.

•Experience with application of statistical process control (SPC) methodologies in a manufacturing environment.

•Demonstrated use and understanding of good manufacturing practices in a clean room fab environment.

•Experience with photolithography process development, process control and equipment operation. Experience with SU8 resist and contact aligners a plus.

•Hands-on experience in automated defect inspection process and equipment's.

•Direct experience in RIE/ICP, sputter deposition and wet chemistry

•Familiar with Laser ablation and Parylene coating processes

•Experience in specification of equipment, vendor evaluation, procurement recommendation and equipment qualification.
