We are looking for a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join the team to manage automated equipment through the lifecycle of the manufacturing process. We’re building a best-in-class consumer/healthcare brand and are looking for a Manufacturing Controls Engineer who has an interest in working with cross-functional teams to become subject matter experts within the technologies and processes that are deployed at Candid, manage the production metrics, maintain the qualified performance metrics and continuously improve the automated manufacturing processes. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering.

What You’ll Do

  • Work within a team of engineers whose responsibilities are to support, maintain, and continuously improve the processes and manufacturing equipment 
  • Work with the team to develop protocols to be used to support the qualification process, including work instructions, maintenance manuals
  • Train on the technology deployed on the manufacturing equipment
  • Utilize knowledge of electrical and mechanical assemblies to predict equipment failure modes and proactively set and establish preventative maintenance schedules 
  • Work with vendors and engineering teams to understand root cause of failures, propose design or component changes, and implement and validate equipment modifications from a sustaining operations standpoint
  • Ability to read, understand, modify systems using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic prints.
  • Provide trouble-shooting support for factory automation and facilities projects

What You’ll Need 

  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field
  • Experience in automated systems that will be used in a continuous production environment, including robotics, vision, laser technology
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC/HMI control systems, Epson robotic systems, and Cognex/Keyence vision systems
  • Understanding of Solidworks, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Understanding of computer based programming, C#/Python is desired
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support production 
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the build and qualification processes (<10%)
