Camera Specialist -

The primary job function of the Camera Specialist will program, simulate, and test automated machinery, including machine vision and image processing with advanced algorithms. Responsible for working with and programming PLCs, automated inspection cameras and vision sensors, lighting, motion control and other aspects of industrial automation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect complex, multi-component machine vision based systems
  • Generate project PLC and HMI solutions
  • Evaluation of customer specifications and their impact to GROB’s products

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least three years experience building and testing computer vision systems
  • Knowledge of electrical design
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics
  • Knowledge of vision and image processing
  • Siemens PLC knowledge is a plus

General Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong math skills and understanding of basic electrical circuits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international
  • Ability to secure and maintain a valid passport
